Seventh-grade soccer player Cannon Jackson scored his first goal Monday as a varsity player on the Vicksburg High School team.

Jackson was a key player in VHS’ 3-0 victory over Greenville High School Monday, giving the Gators a 1-1 record.

Jackson was moved up to the varsity team due to his great athletic ability and how well he performs against older players. He plays under head coach Ernest Dixon who is holding Jackson to high standards.

Zachary Stokes and Chris Williams scored the other two goals Monday for the Gators in their big win.
