Several WC boy’s and girl’s track runners advance to South State

WC boys and girl’s track team competed in the regional on Thursday. Multiple runners qualified to compete in the South State Tournament.

Lady Vikes:

  • Gabrelle McLeod (93-03 Discus) will compete in South State.
  • Ta’Mya Sims (32-07.75) will compete in the triple jump.
  • Calise Henyard (28-11.00) will compete in the shot put.
  • Jae’la Smith (J5-00.00) won the girl’s high jump last night and will also compete in South State.

WC boys:

  • Johnathan Henderson finished 2nd Overall with his best jump of the year 6’2”.
  • Ashton Murphy will be competing in the 100 at south state next week. He ran his fastest time 10.88.
  • 4X100: Michael Reed, Daniel Williams, Jason Williams and Ashton Murphy.
  • 4X200: Michael Reed, Daniel Williams, Aron Murphy and Ashton Murphy.
