Sharon Denise Butler, 1966 – 2023

Sharon Denise Butler was born to Clarice J. Butler and the late Lenard Butler, Sr., of Vicksburg, Mississippi. She left his earthly world on March 6, 2023, at Merit Health; at the age of 57.

Sharon grew up in Vicksburg, Mississippi, where she attended Warren Central High School. She accepted Christ at an early age. She moved to Detroit, Michigan, where she resided for thirty-seven years. Sharon loved her family unconditionally, and she would help anyone that she came in contact with. She worked as a home health caregiver and at Mahar Tools Supply for thirteen years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lenard Butler, Sr.; five brothers, Eddie Ray Butler, Larry Eugene Butler, Charles Edward Hughes, Houston Harmon, and Melvin Ray Butler; one sister, Zelia Maria Butler.

Sharon leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Donjuliue Shanta Butler (Adam) Wilson; one son, Jimmie Jason (Iesha) Butler; one grandson, Michah Calloway; one granddaughter, Ilanah Richardson; two foster children, Jerry Motley and Robert Bates, all of Detroit, MI; mother, Clarice J. Butler; seven sisters, Carolyn L. Butler, Deborah L. Butler, and Senobia Y. Butler, all of Vicksburg, MS, Velva A. Gullete of Detroit, MI, and Earnestine Butler Wilson, Barbara J. Butler, and Debra K. Butler, all of Texas; six brothers, Elvis Austin (Veronica) Butler, Sr., Derrick D. Butler, and Percy Bell, all of Vicksburg, MS, Lenard Butler, Jr. (Katrina), and Cedric E. Butler, both of Detroit, MI, and Robert Clark of TX; three sisters-in-law, Betty Jean Butler, Lola Hughes, and Joyce Tyler, all of Vicksburg, MS; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives including Neals Woods, Wardley, Henderson, Jackson, and Tollivers families.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Sharon Denise Butler on March 18, 2023, 11:00 AM at Kings Community Empowerment Center, 224 R L Chase Circle., Vicksburg, MS.

Visitation will be held at C J Williams Mortuary Services, 4310 Halls Ferry Road, Vicksburg, MS on March 17, 2023 from 1:00 – 6:00 PM with family present from 5:00 – 6:00 PM.
