Vehicle rollover on Wisconsin Avenue under investigation

Vicksburg Police are investigating a single vehicle rollover crash on Wisconsin Avenue near its intersection with Bazinsky Road.

The crash was first reported at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday. Vicksburg Fire Department Engine 8, Rescue and Fire Medic 20 were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

One male occupant was reportedly not seriously injured and extricated himself from the vehicle. The driver is being tested at the scene for driving under the influence.

The crash remains under investigation by Vicksburg Police Officer Mathew Barnes.

[UPDATE 6:53 p.m.] Subject was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI following a field test and driving under suspension.
