Slade pleads guilty to sexual battery of a child under the age of 14

A Warren County man pleaded guilty to sexual battery of a child under the age of 14.

Samuel Boyd Slade was originally charged with two counts of sexual battery and two counts of molestation, which occurred from March 2019 through October 2022 in Warren County. He was indicted in February 2023 and he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years to life in prison.

Slade will be sentenced on Aug. 16 in the Warren County Circuit Court by Judge Toni Terrett. Prosecutor Branan Southerland is representing the state in this case.
