The St. Aloysius Junior High softball team defeated Madison St. Joe 9-3 on Monday.

Mallory Spencer and Scarlett Couch secured singles in the first inning, helping the Lady Flashes take an early 3-0 lead. Madison St. Joe responded in the second inning with three runs to tie the game.

St. Al earned three more runs in the third, thanks to a hit from Spencer and RBIs from Couch. The Lady Flashes secured their victory in the fourth inning following an RBI from Madison Connelly and a nice hit from Addy Lyon.

Spencer and Lyon led at the plate, each going 2 for 2 with two RBIs. Addie G. Clay, Presley Carr, Kennadi Blassingame, Marley Gibellino, Couch (who had 2 RBIs), and Connelly all contributed to the win with good hits.

Spencer and Madelyn Kavanaugh pitched impressively, with Spencer throwing two strikeouts and Kavanaugh one.

The Lady Flashes will travel to Simpson Academy on Tuesday.
