St. Aloysius running back Brennan Williams is returning to help lead the offense for the Flashes in his senior year.
Williams has played on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball for the past few years
On the offensive side, Williams finished last year’s season with 233 rushing yards and three touchdowns. He was a dominant player in the big victory last season against Cathedral that helped the Flashes clinch a playoff spot. He gained 50 yards on three carries in that game.
Williams was known for his quickness on the field which helped him become a shutdown cornerback on defense. He managed to grab 49 tackles and one interception last season. He is also on the track team for St. Al and can run the 40-yard dash in 4.34 seconds.
During the upcoming season, he will be catching receiving passes and getting handoffs from quarterback Tristan Wilbanks.
Williams has been working on his defensive skills with cornerback coach and former Vicksburg High Star Derrick Watson.
St. Aloysius is scheduled to begin its football season Aug. 21 at 7 p.m against Hartfield Academy.
