Both Jonathan and Tyler recently won gold medals at the state track meet last week as they both went out on top in their junior year.

Jonathan came first place in the high jump where he leaped at six feet and eight inches. He is coached by Corey Wilson Sr. at Warren Central High School.

“I just want to say thank you because it was a hard journey and I was hurt for the first two district meets but I shook back and I just want to thank God,” Jonathan said.

Tyler Henderson is also a state champion after leaping at 46’9 in the triple jump for Vicksburg High School.

“Winning state was one of my biggest accomplishments and I want to thank my coaches, family, and the school for making me who I am today,” Tyler said.

Tyler is coached by Shaun Archer at VHS.
