Suspect tazed and arrested after making threats of shooting inside local bank

One suspect is in custody after threatening a shooting at a local bank.
Shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Vicksburg police officers were dispatched to Cadence Bank on Indiana Avenue in reference to a disturbance.
Initial reports indicated a male individual was inside the bank making threats of shooting.
The suspect exited the side of the building as VPD units arrived and were able to be detained after officers deployed tasers.
Upon searching the suspect, drug paraphernalia was discovered in his possession. No weapon was reported to have been recovered.
The suspect’s name has not been released at this time.
