Tadlock named as a finalist for the National Coach of the Year Award

Raymond High School boy’s basketball head coach Tony Tadlock has been named as finalist the the National Coach of the Year Award by the NHSACA.

Tadlock, who is in his sixth season as the Rangers’ head coach, led the team to a state championship last season and most recently won a district title last week. He was also named as the District Coach of the Year this season as Raymond sits with a 23-6 record and ranked as No.5 in the state of Mississippi.

Tadlock currently has a 157-36 record at Raymond and earned the Mississippi Association of Coaches Boy’s Basketball Coach of the Year Award in 2022.

There are eight finalists for the National Coach of the Year Award and they will go on to Lincoln, Nebraska this summer for the awards banquet at the National Coaches Convention which will be held from July 24 to July 27.
