Tell us what business you want to see downtown
Landlord William Wooten has a unique space downtown and wants to know what business you want to see come to downtown Vicksburg.
The building at 1302 Washington sits right across from 10 South and is between an antique shop and the soon-to-open Milano’s Italian Restaurant.
The space is reminiscent of similar spaces on Beale Street in Memphis where the blues are played in a park-like, open-air setting. It could also be a great place for an arcade, not unlike the one that was so popular at Margaritaville.
The roof extends about halfway into the building leaving a part of the space open to a sky view. The open-air feature can be enclosed but Wooten is leaving all his options open.
“We want to put something here for the community and we want it to be family-friendly. It’s such a great space,” said Wooten.

Wooten will also consider allowing the right group to lease the space for their business.
