The Gators defeated Natchez 9-4 on Tuesday

Vicksburg High School baseball team  made a defeated Natchez on Tuesday in a 9-4 win.

After scoring on a error, the Bulldogs went up 1-0 in the second inning. VHS would respond in the third when Terrance Johnson got a double to bring in two runs.

As VHS took control of the game, Rashad McCroy got a RBI to push the lead to 4-1 as the Gators got another run from an error.

The Bulldogs eventually narrowed the Gators’ lead to 5-3 but VHS would continue get runs from errors and steals.

After a steal by Chris Green and a hit by Mincer Minor IV, the Gators took the 9-4 victory.

Terrance Johnson had a great performance on the mound as he struck out 13 batters while Kealon Bass struck out two.

McCroy went 2 for 3 at the plate with one RBI while Bass, Johnson, Minor, Green, and Raymond Grey each had one hit. Johnson also had two RBIs.
