The Mavericks advance to the championship after defeating the Warriors

The Mavericks basketball team of the inner city youth league will advance to the championship next week after defeating the Warriors 28-27 on Thursday.

Throughout the majority of their game, the Mavericks stayed ahead of the Warriors and had a 18-8 lead by halftime.

Jordan Clay led the way for the Mavericks with 17 points, followed by Arthur Davis who scored six.

Late in the game the Warriors began to make a comeback and eventually they were only down by one point. Time soon expired and the Mavericks took home the win.

The Mavericks are coached by Snoop Washington and championship game will be held on Wednesday.
