The Vicksburg High School softball team will present a check to a cancer survivor on Thursday with funds raised from their annual Strikeout Cancer Benefit Tournament.

The Missy Gators held the tournament on Mar. 26 in efforts of supporting Amy Swartz, a local cancer patient.

Many teams participated in the tournament, including Warren Central, with all the benefits going to a great cause.

The Missy Gators raised approximately $2,000 for Swartz through donations, silent auctions and raffle sales.

A special presentation of the check will be held on the Missy Gators softball field on Thursday at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.
