Truck crashes into school bus, causes roadway to close

A school bus carrying children from Sherman Avenue was involved in a crash on Monday afternoon. Initial reports indicated injuries were involved.
Just before 4 p.m., first responders were alerted to a collision in the 1600 block of Grove Street.
A pickup truck hauling corn collided with the back of the school bus and was totaled. The driver of the truck was treated on the scene for injuries and released. The children on the bus escaped harm with one child reporting a headache.
The road around the scene is currently blocked while the area is cleared of debris.
Another bus has been dispatched to shuttle the remaining bus passengers home.
