A call came in to the Vicksburg Police Department in late January of shots fired in the 1100 block of National Street.

Initial reports stated Rogers was sitting in the front passenger seat of a gray Challenger and was shot several times in the chest.

Coroner Dusk Huskey arrived at the incident and ordered the body to the crime lab in Jackson.

In a press conference on Friday, Vicksburg Police Chief Penny Jones stated there may be more people involved and more arrests could be made, “At this time, this case is still pending further investigation, as there may be other arrests made pertaining to this case.”

The pair appeared before Judge Lawson on Friday. Each was given a $1 million dollar bond. Their cases have been bound to the Warren County Grand Jury.
