Vehicle fire on Sherman Avenue

At approximately 6:14 a.m. on Monday, Vicksburg/Warren County E-911 received a report of a vehicle fire in the 2100 block of Sherman Avenue.

Jeff Riggs, spokesman for the Warren County Fire Service, reports that Bobby Rufus with the Culkin Fire Department was the first to arrive at the scene. He discovered an unknown make vehicle engulfed in flames, with no driver present or nearby.

Upon the arrival of Culkin Engine 204, Chief Chuck Tate and Assistant Chief Lee Williams swiftly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and is under investigation.
