Local teams from Vicksburg and Warren Central High School are preparing to hit the road to play in the second round of the playoffs.

The Gators are coming off a 25-3 win over Cleveland Central last Friday and are headed to play West Point.

VHS is currently built with a young roster, but have constantly proven they can hang with any competition which steps in front of them. The 2021 season is the 20th year since VHS defeated Madison Central in the second round of the playoffs.

WC will be headed right up the road to Brandon to fight for a chance of keep their season alive. The Vikings are coming off a big 30-21 win over D’lberville last week. The Vikings fell 38-20 to Brandon early in the season, but the Vikings have been preparing for their competition.

Although the Gators and Vikings are on the road, both games will be streamed live so fans can tune in to support their local teams.
