VHS basketball team now ranked No. 7

Vicksburg High School (VHS) boys basketball is now ranked No. 7 in the state of Mississippi, according to SBLive.

After a surge of big victories over the past couple of weeks, the Gators are now inside the top 10 where they are continuing to fight for a championship.

Last week, VHS knocked off the No. 1 ranked Clinton High School in a big 60-57 overtime victory that helped boost their rankings. They also defeated Provine last night in a 58-46 home game win.

VHS now has a 14-6 record and will play No. 2 ranked Callaway on Thursday in the Region 4-5A championship game.
