VHS defeats Natchez 9-8 on Monday

Vicksburg High School baseball team defeated Natchez in a close 9-8 victory Monday.

Terrance Jonson got the victory for the Gators as he pitched for five innings and struck out five batters. Chris Green also struck out one batter.

Kealon Bass led the Gators with three RBIs and one run score as well. He was also a key to the victory as he singled on a 2-2 count when the score was tied at 8 and helped VHS to their final score of the night.

Green was also able to bring home the win as he struck out the final batter. Derrick Brown and Tyler Carter also came in clutch for the Gators by finishing with two RBIs as well.

VHS will now play Greenville St. Joseph on Tuesday in hopes of another victory.
