The Vicksburg High School ninth-grade boy’s basketball faced Germantown on Monday and walked away with a 43-38 victory.

Key players, Javion Perkins, Kristopher Washington and Dennis Battle helped prevent the Mavericks from stopping the Gator’s momentum.

Perkins proved to be instrumental by putting up 18 points while Washington came in with 17. Battle also added 10 points.

The freshman team is coached by Julius Williams.
