Vicksburg High School softball player Avery VanNorman was one of the lead batters in the Missy Gators last game on Thursday.

VanNorman went 2 for 3 at the plate against New Hope in the 9-5 loss.

The eighth grade catcher showed up ready to play against ladies who were much older, including high school seniors that she dominated over. She is well-coached by Brian Ellis who trusts the young athlete to contribute as much as she can to her team’s success.

The Missy Gators season ended last Thursday in an upsetting playoff loss, but most of the VHS roster will be returning to play next season.
