Two Vicksburg High football players competed in the National Combine in San Antonio, Texas, over the weekend to improve their skills on the field.

Offensive lineman Shardez Taylor and cornerback Marvin Martin both traveled to Texas and received great evaluations while playing there. Martin was placed on the first team list, and Taylor received honorable mention for the camp.

“We participated in all sorts of drills, and it went very well, and I learned a lot,” Taylor said.

Both Taylor and Martin will return next year for their season as Vicksburg High School Gators next season.
