Vicksburg High School to face Yazoo City in upcoming homecoming game

Vicksburg High School is gearing up to host Yazoo City this Friday evening.

Last week, the Gators clinched a 26-20 victory over Terry, boasting nearly 400 total yards. The dynamic duo of Tyler Henderson and quarterback Ronnie Alexander was in full swing, with Alexander registering 116 passing yards and two touchdowns.

On the ground, Cedric Blackmore dominated with 98 rushing yards and two touchdowns, and DeCorey Knight contributed an impressive 122 rushing yards. The defensive side showcased Dennis Battle, who secured two sacks. Mincer Minor IV and Rickey Ross each tallied interceptions.

Sporting a 3-1 record, the Gators will clash with Yazoo City, currently at 0-4, at 7 p.m. The evening promises added excitement as it’s homecoming night for VHS. Fans are anticipating a stellar performance from their team.
