Vicksburg man dies in Issaquena County vehicle crash

A fatality occurred in Issaquena County on Friday on U.S. 61.
Shortly after 5 p.m. Friday, A Dodge Caravan was heading northbound on 61 near Park Valley when the vehicle left the roadway.
It is unknown at this time what caused the vehicle to veer off the highway. What is known is the vehicle was overturned and ejected two occupants, leaving one trapped within the vehicle.
Joe Rushing Jr., the driver, was rushed to UMMC with unknown injuries. A passenger identified as William M. Kelley, of Vicksburg, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The other passenger was transported to Merit Health Hospital for minor injuries.
None of the occupants of the vehicle appeared to be wearing seat belts.
