Vicksburg National Military Park closing at 10:00 a.m.

The Vicksburg National Military Park will close today at 10:00 a.m due to incoming weather. The park will also be closed for a while on Thursday until the staff can make assessments of the tour road.

PARK CLOSURE: TODAY, WEDNESDAY, MARCH 30, 2022.

Due to the threat of severe weather, Vicksburg National Military Park’s tour road will be closing to vehicles and pedestrians at 10:00am.

The main Visitor Center located on Clay Street will be closing at 11:00am.

Tomorrow, Thursday, March 31, 2022 the park will be closed until staff can make assessments of the tour road and facilities. Please continue to visit this page for the latest updates regarding the park’s reopening.
