Former Warren Central High School soccer player Laney Smith has been named to the All-Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference first team.

Smith played the forward position for the Bulldogs for the past two seasons and helped them to a 15-1-1 record this year.

Smith started in 14 games this season where she scored five goals, with three assists and finished with a total of 13 points while winning four games for the Bulldogs.

With the great playing of Smith and her teammates, Holmes CC coaching staff was also named as the Coaching Staff of the Year by the MACCC.

Smith has not publicly announced if she would continue playing soccer but VDN will provide updates once she makes her decision public.
