Vicksburg police respond to residential and business burglaries and shots fired

The Vicksburg Police Department reported that the following crimes occurred Tuesday, Nov. 26 and Wednesday, Nov. 27 in addition to incidents previously reported here, here, here and here.

On Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 5:30 p.m., Vicksburg police officers responded to a residential burglary in the 1700 block of South Street. Homeowners reported that two rifles and a shot gun were missing from their home. The serial numbers, makes and models of the weapons were not provided.

On Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 6:28 a.m., officers responded to a commercial burglary at Sonic, 730 U.S. Highway 61 North. The manager noticed a door forcefully opened when he arrived at work and file cabinet broken into. He reported that $2,946 was missing. No surveillance tape is available.

Nov. 26 at 10:57 p.m. officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 200 block of Willow Drive. Officers found no evidence of shots fired.
