At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, a deadly accident took place in Warren County that claimed the life of a Vicksburg man.

William B. Aden, Jr., 68, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in spite of the best efforts of first responders.

Aden was traveling south on Highway 3 near Redwood when his 2017 Ram 1500 pick-up left the roadway and struck an embankment, causing the truck to become airborne. One eyewitness stated that the vehicle went as high as the power lines.  The vehicle came down nose-first near the railroad tracks, flipped end-over-end and rolled on its side.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is handling the investigation into the accident.

The Vicksburg Daily News team extends our sincere condolences to Mr. Aden’s family and friends.
