VJHS blew out Clinton 61-22 to remain undefeated

Vicksburg Junior High boys’ basketball team remains undefeated after blowing out Clinton 61-22.

With early 3-pointers coming from Deonta Selvy Jr, Jaquez Jones and Jayden Stewart, VJHS went up 31-11 by halftime. The Gators continued to pound the Arrows all night and eventually went up by 40 points at one time before taking home the win.

Jones hit two 3-pointers and finished with 17 points and Selvy added 15. Stewart scored 11 points and Corbin Walker put up nine, including one 3-pointer. Jaylen Stewart scored seven points while J. Johnson and S. Lenzinger both hit a free throw.

The Gators will travel to Madison Middle School on Monday.
