VJHS defeated Clinton 30-6 on Tuesday

Vicksburg Junior High School football team came away with a 30-6 victory over Clinton on Tuesday night.

Deonta Selvy Jr. took the snaps at quarterback as he threw a total of three touchdowns to Javid Scott(35 yards), Jayden Stewart(45 yards) and Quez Jones(25 yards).

Jaylen Stewart also had a 10-yard rushing touchdown along with a successful two-point conversion. Scott carried the ball four times for 64 yards and Selvy completed 9 of 10 passes for  193 yards.

Defensively, Davien Beard led the Gators with nine tackles and one sack. Corbin Walker had five tackles and one interception while Messiah Sims grabbed three tackles.

7th grade:

VJHS won 12-0 on Tuesday .

Offense: Simon completed a 45 yd touchdown to Daylon Atkins.

Antowine Chiplin had a 70 yard
rushing touchdown.

Defense: Chauncey Rankin had an interception along with four tackles.

Elijah Flemmings had one sack for a 10 yard loss.
