Vicksburg Junior High School girls’ basketball team came out with a 29-12 win over Pearl Middle School on Thursday.

The Missy Gators trailed 12-9 at halftime but heavy defense would change the game. They didn’t allow Pearl to score a single point in the second half.

Zion Knox led VJHS with 14 points while Aaliyah Mims and Alaina Williams both scored four points a piece. Madisyn Kimble, Zaria Jones and Jariyah Williams all scored two points. Layla Johnson hit one free throw in the win.

The Missy Gators will host Northwest Rankin on Monday.
