VJHS remains undefeated after beating Clinton on Monday

Vicksburg Junior High School boy’s basketball team remains undefeated after defeating Clinton 39-31 on Monday.

The Gators had trouble getting the game started but eventually caught on as Wally Curry knocked down a 3-pointer with VJHS trailing 10-7 in the first quarter.

Marlyn Foy and Curry took things over in the second quarter where the Gators took the 24-19 lead.

VJHS only allowed the Arrows to score five points in the third quarter.

Curry ended up leading the Gators to the win by scoring 20 points and Foy added 13. Jacquez Jones, Corbin Walker and Corderrion Valentine each scored two points.

The Gators are now 6-0 on the year under Head Coach Jerdon Hardiman.
