VJHS took a close loss to Germantown on Tuesday

Vicksburg Junior High School took a close 37-36 loss to Germantown on Tuesday.

Scoring drives included:

1. Jaquez Jones scored
twice on an 80 yd kickoff return
for a touchdown and 70 a yard kickoff
return. He also scored on a punt
return fron 65 yds and a 102 yard pick 6.

2. Deonta Selvy Jr. threw a 30 yard touchdown to Jayden Stewart.

3. Javid Scott and Selvy both scored two point conversions.

Defensively, Jaylen Stewart had 10 tackles,
Davien Beard grabbed 7 tackles and
Jaiden Thomas added six.

Seventh grade:

The seventh grade Gators earned a 21-7 win as Atkins, Chiplin and Rankin all scored touchdowns. Simon threw for two touchdowns while Chiplin, Mazie and Rankin all had five tackles.
