VJHS took down WCJHS 46-32 on Monday

Vicksburg Junior High School boy’s basketball team knocked off Warren Central Jr. High 46-32 on Monday.

Mikey Johnson scored 24 points for the Gators that led to the win.

WC took the lead early in the game by going up 9-3 at the end of the first quarter.

Michael Hubbard put up 13 points fo WC that kept the game tight.

By halftime, VJHS retook the lead and went up 19-15 as they never trailed again in the game.  Donovin Brown also added nine points for VJHS and Jordan Clay scored six.

The Gators had a big third quarter where Brown, Johnson, and Clay all hit 3-points to advance their team’s lead.

Landon Lumpkin scored seven for WC and Caleb Lane finished with five while JT Gaines four for the Gators.

VJHS managed to maintain their lead and finish out on top over WC as they took home the big win.
