VJHS won their basketball tournament on Wednesday

Vicksburg Junior High School won their basketball tournament on Wednesday.

Eighth grade:

The Gators blew out Madison Parish by over 20 points in the first game. They eventually wrapped things up with a 48-27 win over Porter, during which Corbin Walker and Jaquez Jones both scored in double digits.

Seventh grade:

The seventh grade team earned a 51-24 win against Madison Parish.

Chauncy Rankin Jr., Daylon Washington, and Antwon Chiplin all scored multiple points to lead VJHS to victory.

The Gators lost a close game in the championship.
