After nearly a decade, Warren Central High School’s cross country team will have their own course for the upcoming season.

WC hasn’t hosted a meet since 2013, but are now pumped up and excited for this change and an opportunity to compete at home.

“I’m so excited that this is happening but it’s finally coming together,” WC Head Coach Nicole Solis said.

COVID-19 had a toll on much of the process in getting a course for the team. However, everything is now playing in the Vikings’ favor. They will host their first meet on Sep. 17.

WC’s course is located Sherman Avenue/Warren Central Intermediate School.

The team is currently built with 21 athletes  and are still taking in more runners. Those who wish to compete can contact Solis at nicole.solis@vwsd.org.
