Warren County extends emergency resolution to May 18; Eagle Lake boat ramp remains closed
The Warren County Board of Supervisors has voted to extend its emergency resolution until noon on May 18.
The board voted in its regular meeting Monday morning to extend its current order with the proviso that if the Governor makes significant changes that impact county businesses, it could revisit the issue.
District 1 Supervisor Edward Herring asked the board for opinions on opening the boat ramp at Eagle Lake.
District 2 Supervisor William Banks referenced the situation at the Ross Barnett Reservoir in his opposition. Police were called out to the reservoir Sunday to crack down on boaters and other visitors who were not following the guidelines of the state’s safer-at-home order.
The board decided to leave the Eagle Lake ramp closed.
