WC and VHS volleyball team picked up district wins on Thursday

Vicksburg and Warren Central High School each picked up district wins on Thursday night.

VHS:

The Missy Gators defeated Columbus in four sets.

Kennedy Mullins, Lili Kistler and Jordan Grace did outstanding serving, setting, digging and assisting all night. Makynzie Dunmore guarded the net with eight blocks, five assists, five kills and six attacks. Kistler had eight attacks, eight kills and 10 assists.

The Missy Gators are 6-1 on the year and 1-1 in district play. They will travel to Neshoba Central on Tuesday.

Warren Central:

WC took down Callaway (25-15,25-21,25-16) to move to 1-0 in the district.

Melissa Herrle had five aces and a kill. Ellie Henderson had five kills, two blocks and three aces. Tabreia Davis added two aces and a kill. KK Kelly brought in four aces and a kill. Calise Henyard led squad with eight kills and two aces.

The Lady Vikes will travel to Ridgeland on Tuesday.
