WC and VHS will both be classified as 6A in 2023 school year

Vicksburg and Warren Central High School will each be classified as 6A in sports for the next school year.

The Mississippi High School Athletics Association released the information on Thursday.

The new classification will start in the Fall of 2023 and will be the first time that both VHS and WC have been in 6A together since the 2012-2013 school year.

WC and VHS will be a part of 6A Region 2 along with Callaway, Columbus, Neshoba and Ridgeland High Schools.
