WC dominated at the regional cross country meet

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —

Warren Central High School had a few athletes to finish in the top five of the MHSAA Super Regional Cross Country Meet.

1. Matthew Brewer-second in 2-6A with an 18:08.37 time.

2. Abby DeJesus-3rd in 2-6A(24:22.37)

3. Cora Lindsay got 4th in 2-6A(24:26.59).

4. Jayden Dennis ran his first 5k as an 8th grader and ran a 26:07.65.

5. Bailey Dickerson ran his first 5k as an 8th grader and ran a 26:32.56.

Top 5 for WC were Tony Peters with a 24:54.00 and James Lindsay with a 28:21.50.

Vicksburg High School’s Casey Brown placed 16th and Leborne Chiplin came in 21st place. Both teams will participate in the MHSAA 6A Championship on November 2 at the Choctaw Trails.
