WC secured wins over Morton on Saturday

VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) —

The Warren Central High School boys and girl’s soccer teams came out with a victory over Morton on Saturday.

The Lady Vikes secured a 7-0 shutout win as Allie Mason and Jordan Polk both scored two goals. Gloria Hall, Riley Martin and Rachel Opperman all scored one goal each in the victory.

On the boy’s side WC finished with a 1-0 win as Tyler Godshaw scored the lone goal in the hard fought defensive match. Goalkeeper Colby Solomon stepped up and grabbed eight saves.

Both teams are now 2-0 on the year and they will travel to face Richland on Tuesday.
