Warren Central High School baseball came up short on Tuesday in a 7-1 loss to Jackson Prep.

The first few innings consisted of mostly defense as Jack Wright struck out a few batters.

The Patriots would get on the board first in the third inning from a homerun by Gideon. Another late homer in the fifth would bring in three more runs that gave JP a 5-0 lead.

A RBI from Ismael Trujillo in the sixth would get the Vikings their first run as they took the loss.

Wright struck out seven and Maddox Lynch went 2 for 3 at the plate. Cade Fairley also had a hit.

WC will host Madison Central on Friday.
