Warren Central High School football team fell short in a 25-24 overtime loss to Pearl on Friday.

Maddox Lynch connected with Jaylon Winters on a 40-yard touchdown pass early in the game to get WC on the board.

At one point in the game, the Vikings were down 17-7 and came back after freshman Nash Morgan threw a 42 yard touchdown followed by a 39-yard field goal by Jonah Artman.

Tied up at 17 in overtime, WC scored first from a 10-yard run from Eric Collins Jr. and a good extra point by Artman. Pearl soon scored as well and went for a successful two-point conversion to take home the win.

WC will host Germantown on Friday.
