Both Warren Central High School and Vicksburg High School will be on the road next week to face opponents in playoff games.

Vicksburg will travel to Granada (7-2) to face the Chargers who are coming off a 21-0 win over New Hope Friday night. The Gators (3-7) wrapped up their season last night with a 26-7 loss to Holmes County Central. They are competing in the playoffs for the first time in three years.

Warren Central will also be traveling Friday to face Tupelo (6-4) who lost to Oxford last night 25-14. The Vikings (6-2) had a bye week and didn’t play Friday but will hit the road next week in hopes of a victory.

The 2020 season is the first time since 2017 that both of Warren County’s public high schools will participate in the playoffs at the same time. The schools are in different divisions, though, and will not play each other.
