WC volleyball team knocked off Florence in their season opener

Warren Central High School volleyball team came out with a 3-set win over Florence(17-25,22-25,18-25) on Tuesday.

“We did pretty good and communicated real well and had a lot of good kills,” senior Ellie Henderson said. We have to work on serving consistently a little more but overall we did great.”

Melissa Herrle ended the night with 10 kills/ten attacks, five digs and four aces.Ellie Henderson had five kills, 12 attacks, three assist and  four digs while Tabreai Davis contributed one kill, seven attacks, seven aces and five digs.

“We just had the mentality to win and we fought real hard like the Lady Vikes always do and if we keep this up we’ll have a great season,” Davis said.

The Junior Varsity won in two sets (23-25, 15-25) against Florence as well. Ka’ryn Henderson had four kills while Morgan Jones had three attacks. Kennedi Zellous brought in four kills and four attacks. Kylie Hearn also had four aces.
