WCJHS girl’s basketball team defeated VJHS on Thursday

Warren Central Junior High School girl’s basketball got a 45-17 win over Vicksburg Junior High on Thursday night.

The Lady Vikes went up 10-3 in the first quarter with shots coming from Shaniyah Lewis, Madison Ward, Morgan Jones and Kelsey Snowden.

By halftime, WC was up 24-13 with Naykeria Watson adding some points for the Missy Gators.

Throughout the second half, WC maintained a heavy lead and took home the big win.

Lewis led WC with 18 points, followed by Snowden who put up nine points. Jones added seven to the board.

Watson and Willis both put up six points for the Missy Gators.
