Warren Central Junior High basketball player Shamaria Hodge scored 14 points to lead the Vikings in their win against the Vicksburg Junior High Gators.

Hodge’s scoring began in the second half of the game, once the Vikings started to blow out the Gators. She was all over the court and punished the Gator defense every time she got the ball in her hands.

Hodge was the lead scorer in the game and managed to out score the entire VJHS team in the 30-7 win Thursday night.

It was the first game of the season for both teams, and it showed promise for the Vikings if Hodge can continue to give performances like she did Thursday.
