Warren Central High School kicker Jonah Artman has been named to the MaxPreps Preseason Sophomore All-American First Team.

Artman, who made 40 out of 41 extra points and went 10 for 10 in field goals in 2022, has also been ranked as the No.1 kicker in Mississippi(class of 2026) and No.6 in the country(class of 2026). The new ranking comes from his performance at the Kohl’s National Scholarship Invitational Camp last month in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Artman is heavily known for his ability to boot the ball and leaving it with plenty of hang time as he is on a route to becoming one of the country’s best kickers.

Artman’s sophomore season will begin on August 25 when WC plays Clinton in the Red Carper Bowl.
