What Was That Boom?
Social media was all abuzz Sunday about a sonic boom heard from Clinton to Redwood. About 7:15 AM Sunday morning a very loud boom shattered the morning. People from Clinton to Redwood to Bovina to Yokena (pronounced 61 South) all reported the boom.
Some claim it was a meteor breaking the earth’s plane, others say it was the New Madrid fault reminding us of our impending doom and still some say ERDC was blowing things up again. The most reasonable claim seems to be a transformer blowing up in Clinton.
But would that sound travel this far and that loud?
